TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP P P / S C Claudius, bare-headed and togate, seated left on curule chair resting on globe, holding olive branch in his right hand and resting his left on his lap; around the chair, spears, shields, cuirass and a helmet. BMC 208. Cohen 8. RIC 109. A bold and impressive coin with an attractive portrait and a particularly detailed reverse. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, extremely fine.
